It’s amazing ……..

what can be done with software programmes and digital photographs. When I last took photos as a hobby, I was using a Canon slr film camera, and one was limited to using filters for special effects, unless you had your own darkroom.

Now, I use a DSLR, a Nikon D90, and I am just starting to learn a bit about the camera. I also have some Nikon software that allows all manner of changes to be made to your picture. It is a whole new world after film photography, and I am not sure I will ever totally get a grip of it. However, I am just starting out, and I liked what I did to this one – another photograph over my favourite river Trent power station 🙂

Constructive comments always welcome!

CC Photography Blog

This will (hopefully) be a blog to showcase and publicise my venture into the world of photography. Ultimately, I would like to develop into a photographer that is capable of producing results that would be commercially viable. This is supposed to mark the start of the journey.

To that end, I would welcome any sensible and constructive comments regarding any of the pictures posted here. Although it is too early to decide upon any specialisation, I am interested in architecture and particularly in churches, so I suspect that they will feature prominently. Some landscape work, and local shots reflecting life in Lincoln and the county is another area of interest. Finally, I would like to try some portrait shoots, but have yet to find a suitable model (one who will work for free – or at least just for the pictures). I live just outside the city of Lincoln, UK, so if there are any other photographers, or budding photographers, out there who would like to get in touch, please drop me a line.
